On Monday  January 11, 2010 at approximately 0934 hours, Perth Fire was dispatched for a reported chimney fire that has now turned into a structure fire, caller stated the front of the house is on fire. Perth 12-5-1 requested mutual aid immediately from Broadalbin and Hagaman Fire Companies and then eventually called Galway Fire for manpower to assist. It took nearly 2 hours to bring the fire under control and units stayed on the scene for an additional hour and a half hitting hot spots. All units were cleared the scene and back in service at 1259 hours with 17 members responding from Perth.
